Katie has jewelry in her blood. Raised in a jewelry store, Katie is a third generation Certified Gemologist and Jeweler. Her father, Richard Westphal (owner of R. Westphal Jewelers in Hutchinson) passed on his passion of the craft, giving her the opportunity to spend 23 years working side-by-side with him.
"Jewelry is truly a family tradition. It's what I have always wanted to do. It is a privilege to be a part of helping people find and create jewelry to celebrate life's most memorable moments. Knowing that piece of jewelry will last for generations is a big part of why I have so much passion for the industry and love what I do."
